Events the organiser has described as family events, or as something a parent and a child do together rather than something a child is dropped at. Family Gardening at the Explorium, the Intracoastal Adventures family snorkel at Gumbo Limbo and the parent-and-me robotics classes are all here.

The distinction is worth making. A lot of what a Boca Raton weekend offers is a class with an age band on it, where the adult waits outside; this page is for the rest — the walks, the workshops and the outdoor sessions where everyone gets in the water or the dirt.

Geography matters for planning. The beach-side venues — Gumbo Limbo, Red Reef Park, the city beaches — are east of the Intracoastal and carry a parking charge for non-residents. Sugar Sand Park, on Military Trail, is the practical middle ground and is where most West Boca families end up. Both publish their bookings on their own pages, which every listing here links to.

This is the thinnest of our categories today, and honestly so: it holds what organisers have actually labelled, not what we have guessed about.
